While studying abroad in Amsterdam, I was given an assignment for my GRPH 392 class to design and create a piece of my choice about an idea or topic that I explored while in Amsterdam. For my project, I chose to create a series of Instagram posts advertising Leidseplein, an entertainment and nightlife hub located in central Amsterdam. I chose this topic because I was fascinated with the energy and vibrancy of the neighborhood and wanted to learn more about the entertainment and music scene in Amsterdam. In addition to the neighborhood itself, I chose three specific entertainment venues in Leidseplein to focus on: Melkweg, Paradiso, and Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA). I created these pieces using Adobe Illustrator.
